Day 32 - Sports Day with Local Students!

October 15 , 2010 Sports DAY! Woot....Today 12pm will have a friendly basketball match with the local students. But before that , i woke up early in the morning at around 9am....wash up but today was slightly special. Eudora , my group mate decided to treat us breakfast! Woooooahhh ... Thanks Eudora! Thanks for the delivery of the Soya bean and dumplings from 堕落街! But it still cant fill my stomach, so i decided to buy some other food from there.

After Breakfast, i joined 杨涛 and other of his bunk mates to play Badminton just outside the provision shop. Well didn't manage to take photos but well all the images are already capture in my mind :)

When it was 12++ pm , our basketball match started! Starting i thought it was a 3 v3 game but in the end it was a 5v5 game. I was in the team but i really cant imagine myself able to play a full court game after since the last time i played basketball! the whole game last around 45mins i guess...Even though it's an exhausted game, i enjoyed alot. Good job guys!

After the match, i went back to hostel to have a rest. Feel very tired after playing...guess it's because i too long never exercise :(

Soon in the evening, we all were preparing to set off to take our dinner with LSCT and the local students. It's a farewell dinner for all of us with the local students...
Golden Hans is the restaurant we went. It's a buffet style which serve lots of different food. Delicious is what i can say! :x

Self-reflection :

Today basketball match is tired yet fun for me. Finally got the chance to play with the local students. During the match, i can feel that everyone was doing their very best to score for their own team. Played really well and fairly. I notice that when they made fouls, they will shout it out to inform the referee instead of continuing the game. I think this is the right way of playing. Even though we lost in the end...i still enjoy myself throughout the whole game.. Hopefully we still got the chance to play again friends :)

Day 31 - Eat - Shop - Eat again

October 14 , 2010 Is our free and easy day after since the last lecture. Well it's a fruitful day for me because i finally got somethings i want from shopping!! As you can see from the heading, yup today was eating, shopping and eating again ! WOOT Alright let me begin my story for today. Early in the morning, Eliza they all knock on our door while i am preparing. Well they help us to buy breakfast from 堕落街. while waiting for Yuchuan to wash up and get ready to set off they all camped inside my room for breakfast and some small chats.

Once Yuchuan is done, we all went out to flag for cab to 江汉路. The ride is roughly 30mins from our hostel to there. When we reached there, we went to Dico to have our lunch. Dico is similar to KFC , just that they have much more variety compared to KFC and the price is rather about the same as them too..

Okay after lunch, our shopping officially started! As we walk along, we came across a shop name "Meterbonwe" where they sell jeans, formal shirts and casual shirts etc. So we all went in to take a look. Take a look become an hour plus camped inside the shop. In the end Yuhaw , Yuchuan and me bought something from the shop. Thanks Jia li for helping me to pick a jeans :D

After that we all continue to walk and talk...then finally we got tired and went to Starbucks to have a rest...Ordered a few snacks and drinks then we started to have chat before we proceed to have our dinner.

Dinner at a Korean BBQ restaurant. It was my first time going there . Well the whole atmosphere is good, environment is clean too !

Self-reflection :

Finally got the jeans after choosing for few hours. Thanks all of your for waiting :) Enjoyed alot while hanging out with this group of friends who went shopping with me. Well not much days left before we separate to our own ways. I will cherish such wonderful moments till the end of the trip. Thank you all for being such a wonderful friend(:

Day 30 - Last day of LECTURE!

October 13 , 2010 was the last day of lecture. Which means that it's free and easy for the next few days..Yay 3 cheers for that ! Well lesson ended around 12 plus and most of us headed to have our lunch. Today lunch we didn't went to lemon / happy kitchen but we decided to eat at a new stall call 长江厨房. Well it's just beside 柠檬乐. The structure is similar with 柠檬乐 just that it's quite run-down compared to that .

After that, most of the girls went to have a make over for their hair in the salon in 建设二路 at the top level of supermart. It's the same salon where i went to cut my hair few weeks ago! Once they are settled down in the salon, A few of us who are not going to had a make over for our hair decided to go 七路 for a walk. However, we never expect that the rain have stop the stalls from setting up in the flea market. So we left no choice but to walk along the retail stalls for some window shopping.

Well after that we went back to hostel to rest...This is how we end our day...nothing much to do because of the rain..Well hopefully tomorrow doesn't rain so that we can shop whole day!!! woot ...

Self-reflection :

Today is the last day of our lecture, which means that we will soon going to take our exam when we get back to Singapore and even sooner we will be leaving this place. I hope everything will go smoothly and hope that everyone will cherish these few days...signing off now, need to sleep early! bye!

Day 29 - Cultural interaction with Local students !

October 12 , 2010. Settled our Project presentation early in the morning at around 10am before doing other stuffs. Well did my part of work in the presentation and manage to complete stuffs before the presentation starts. Everything went smoothly i guess. After that we went to 快乐厨房 to had our lunch to act as a celebration after few days of hardworking rushing out our report and power point presentation.

After lunch, we went back to bunk to prepare all the necessary things for our performance upcoming at night. Practice the dance quite a few times so that we can remember it. After that, i went back to bunk for a nap and then when time is up, i went together with them to the meeting area for performance.

It was then 715pm where i finally reached a lecture hall. Once i step in there, what i see was 100++ students settling down at their seats. I was getting nervous and worried about my performance. But well in the end it turn out to be alright and felt very relieved after performing. Well, i enjoyed very much today.... got to go sleep now , need to wake up early in the morning...goodbye all !

Self-reflection :

Today during the performance , i find that each and every group have put in alot of effort to make up for this performance. Well i find that such cultural interaction will help both local and Singapore students to gain more knowledge on their cultural intelligence as they get to know both Singapore and china culture. I feel that today performance was nice and i have gain more awareness about their life in china!

Day 27 - 2nd Day of 武当山

October 10, 2010 continued from yesterday wudang tour. Today Is the real challenge for us because we are all going to climb to 武当山highest peak call the 金顶(jin ding). This is the highest part of the whole 武当 which requires alot of energy and hours of climbing in order to reach there. I heard that it's roughly 4-5km up the mountain! So in order to make in on time, we woke up at 6am, breakfast at 630am and set off to the mountain at 7++am.

Starting of the journey is still okay for me as it's not that tiring but as we have walked for 1hour ++ and as we goes on, the steps are getting steeper and steeper which makes us more and more tiring . Here are some of the pictures! See the whole journey of the walking...

After that, we all climb down the mountain Asap because we are very hungry. After lunch , we took the coach back to hostel and this marks the end of our 武当tour. Well pretty sad that such nice memories ended so fast...Hopefully i am able to see it and experience again next time .... cya all !

Self-Reflection :

In this wudang trip, i have seen alot of elderly people climb up to the peak of the mountain despite of their conditions. I can see their determination which keeps on pushing them to climb up to the peak of the mountain. I really respect their actions because , even a teenage like me already have problem climbing the mountain. But they still continue to perserver to the end. I think that we should learn such spirits from them... Well time to sleep, very tired... bye all!

Day 28 - TEAM BUILDING GAME FOR LECTURE !

October 11, 2010 started lecture in the afternoon as everyone was very tired after the Wudang trip on the 10th of october. Even though it's afternoon lesson, i still woke up early in the morning at 930am. Don't ask me why, because it's my body alarm which call me to wake up. HAHA. So after washing up, i went to 堕落街 to buy breakfast! Well ate some dumplings and finally tried the 周黑鸭, quite famous in Wuhan.

Then , i slacked all the way in the bunk watching movies, relaxing before attending lecture in the afternoon.

1pm strikes and we all get ready to go to class. Today lesson was interesting. Ms Hock told us to build a bridge which can withstand several book weight. So i get my group members and started working on it. In the end our bridge was being made into a "Sampan Boat shape" which still able to withstand 4 heavy books. Well good job team! :)

After lesson, we all went back and start to "chiong" our projects and report. That's all for today! BYE BYE all!

Self-reflection:

Today team building game was rather a meaningful lesson to me in this lecture. This is because i find that through this team building game, we can clearly see how our team-members work together. This is where we can see what are our team members are forte in each section. Well i am confident that we are able to work together as a team and strive for the best! 加油all! Group E gogogo haha... Day 26 - Wudang (武当) here i come!

October 8 2010 , HELLO all! Today it's the last touring trip in Wuhan. TODAY we are heading to 武当山! Woke up early in the morning at 6am, get ready to set off at 645am. Before that we head to 堕落街 to buy some breakfast. After that , we all boarded the bus at here goes our 5 hours ride to 武当山!


Reached there around 1230pm and had our lunch in a restaurant. Then now is the beginning of our tour! Bought a ticket at the ticket counter and we proceed to take the mini bus up the mountain. First stop was the 太子坡 followed by the 紫霄宫 then lastly by the 玄帝殿. All of these temple are very old, but yet they are maintained well! Okay pictures ahead!

After that we proceed to our hotel to take dinner, then went back to hotel and rest. Need to get ready for tomorrow mountain hike! Cya again !

Self-reflection:

Very tired but happy because i finally got the chance to go to 武当山. I like the environment and the scenery there because the weather is very cooling!!!! Oh, today i am so lucky! I manage to toss a coin into the 龙头香 with just one coin. HAHA, alright stay tune for more Wudang experience tomorrow ! Bye !
